Position Summary:
|
Responsible for the daily operations and overall planning, development,
operation, management, and performance standards of all Merced County vocational
training and supportive services programs and activities. Maintains communication
with community agencies, businesses, and other entities as appropriate for
marketing and collaboration purposes.
|
|
|
|
|
Examples of Duties:
|

Supervise, monitor, and evaluate all Merced County center staff, including
instructors, case managers, job developers, outreach personnel, clerical
employees, etc.
-
Provide direction and monitor performance standards for all programs and
services, implementing corrective action as necessary.

Coordinate, monitor and evaluate training of all Merced County center staff.
-
Act as liaison between MIS department and all employees to ensure that all
paperwork on services provided is completed properly and timely by Merced
County center staff.

Serve as back up case manager and/or job developer as required by staffing
fluctuations.
-
Prepare and submit performance reports to management as necessary.
-
Monitor staff and student compliance with CVOC policies and regulations,
including policies against harassment and discrimination.

Work closely with management in handling staff disciplinary actions, and
student grievances and/or disciplinary action.
-
Monitor safety in all Merced County facilities/locations including
classrooms; work closely with safety officer and facilities manager in
correcting potential safety hazards. Assist safety officer in processing
student injuries.

Schedule and conduct staff meetings as necessary.
-
Coordinate outreach activities and community participation to enhance
CVOC’s visibility in the community.

Actively support CVOC’s fundraising activities for community service
projects, such as the scholarship and Christmas baskets projects;
encourage/monitor/coordinate staff support.

Other duties as assigned.

|
Requirements:
|
-
B.A. degree in business administration, social science, or related field,
plus two years management experience. Two years program management
experience may be substituted for up to two years of educational
requirements.

Familiarity with and ability to interpret & implement state and federal
program regulations.
-
Familiarity with community resources.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
Computer literacy.
-
Bilingual English/Spanish
-
Valid California Driver's license and personal automobile liability
insurance

Preferred:
|
Past experience in social services field, assisting low-income populations.
|
|
|
|
